NPSL Fall Season 2020 UPDATE

NPSL Coaches and Club Leadership,

Review of King and Pierce County COVID 19 numbers show both counties in the high risk range so clubs from both of these counties are not eligible to play games this weekend.  For Clubs in Counties with moderate or low risk COVID numbers, if your opponent is coming from a county also with moderate or low risk COVID assessment, please move forward with scheduled games.  If you are aware of another team in your division who is eligible to play and neither of you have an eligible opponent feel free to arrange a game.  Everyone is going to have to be flexible this season.  Any game occurring under NPSL, must follow the game day protocol posted on the web site.

Game eligible COVID Phase Risk is defined as below based on the Washington State County Phase and Risk Assessment Table:

· High: Above 75 cases/100K/14 days or a positivity rate at 5% or above both qualify as High risk and not eligible for game play

· Moderate: 25-75cases/100K/14 days AND <5% positivity rate

· Low:  <25cases/100K/14days AND<5% positivity rate

Washington Youth Soccer has formulated a COVID dash board simplifying the Washington State County Phase and Risk Assessment Table which can be found at the below link- This will be updated weekly so that decision for the following weekend can be made by Wednesday.  https://washingtonyouthsoccer.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/COVID-County-Tracking-10-14-20.pdf

Clubs should check the Washington State County Phase and Risk Assessment Table web site on Friday to be sure there have not been unexpected surges.

We hope that all teams will get a chance to compete this year but we will have to take it week by week. Stay in touch with your opponents for updates on local issues such as game field availability which also may limit play.

Stay safe and healthy
